Aims of the Acadamy
The Fish 4 Life Angling Academy are keen to promote good fishing skills- making the sport more accessible to all. Working through our non- profit angling charity project, our licensed coaches aim to provide a range of fishing lessons and coaching for all ages and abilities, both able bodied and disabled.
Angling promotes a connection with nature and the outside world, away from the TV, video games and social media.
The Charity uses the recreational interests of angling to help both young and old to understand and cope with the struggles of everyday life.
It also teaches self – discipline, personnel skills, encourages self- confidence and is a fantastic way of getting outdoors and enjoying the fresh air!
Stress is common place in today’s society and children are just as badly affected by it as adults. Engagement with angling, nature, each other and being in the fresh air can help break up the day and lead to an improved interaction between individuals helping to build self -esteem, socialisation skills and confidence.
Angling provides a constant reward for a focused and patient approach to overcoming life’s challenges.
